Helen Mirren slams Jimmy Savile as a ”f***ing b*****d” who would think his abuse was justified

Dame Helen Mirren believes Jimmy Savile would try to excuse himself for his sex crimes if he were still alive. The Woman in Gold actress has spoken out about the disgraced TV personality’s despicable predatory behaviour and is sure Savile – who was revealed after his death to have sexually abused hundreds of young girls – would be “confused” at the public’s reaction to his abhorrent actions. In an interview with The Times newspaper, she said: “I’m sure that if that f*** ing bastard was alive today, he would be utterly confused. “He would think, ‘They liked it, they loved me, I was a big star, so they wanted it.’ ” Mirren also opened up about working in the film and TV industry in the 70s and claims the decade was affected by a terribly sexist attitude amongst many men.
