Home Sales Dive Across Mission Viejo: Orange County

MISSION VIEJO, CA — In Orange County, home prices have inched up, while sales have dropped, a real estate watchdog recently reported. The median selling price across Orange County was $740,000 in September, up 4.2 percent from $710,000 in September 2017, according to a real estate information service announcement Tuesday. The number of homes sold dropped by 23.6 percent, from 3,344 in September 2017 to 2,555 last month. Home prices also rose slightly in Los Angeles County last month, compared to the same month a year ago, while home sales sharply dropped, CoreLogic said. According to CoreLogic, the median price of a Los Angeles County home was $595,000 last month, up 3.5 percent from $575,000 in September 2017. A total of 5,621 homes were sold in the county, down 19.3 percent from 6,964 during the same month the previous year.
