Declan Donnelly is among a host of famous fathers celebrating their roles as dad on Father’s Day this Sunday.

The 43-year-old better behaved half of Ant and Dec became a first time father last September with the announcement his daughter with wife Ali Astall had arrived.

And now Dec has taken to Twitter to wish other father’s well on the special day – while revelling in his own new role as a dad.

“Happy Father’s Day, especially to those, like me, celebrating it for the first time. Have a lovely day,” the star wrote on the shared Ant and Dec twitter account.

Many other celebrities have taken to social media to express their joy and excitement over celebrating fatherhood on Father’s Day this Sunday.

Stacey Solomon, 29, took to Instagram Stories to share a photo of her latest son, Rex, who she welcomed with Joe Swash, 37, last month.

The mum-of-three shared a snap of her baby boy wearing a onesie adorned with the phrase “Daddy’s Little Sunshine” while promising lover Joe he was in for a “extra special” Father’s Day.

Britain’s Got Talent judge David Williams took to Instagram to share a (presumably) hand drawn card from his own child.

The 47-year-old comedian has a six-year-old son named Alfred from his failed marriage to Dutch supermodel Lara Stone.

“Being a dad makes me happier than I could ever say. Happy Father’s Day,” David wrote as he shared a photo of the card online.

Football legend Rio Ferdinand, 40, shared a photo of himself with his father – showing himself and his old man topless, muscled, and ready for lunch at a sun soaked table.

“Happy Father’s Day dad. We all Love you,” the sportsman wrote.

Meanwhile fiancee Kate Wright, 28, took to Instagram herself to wish dad-of-three Rio a Happy Father’s day herself.

“Happy Father’s Day to our world. You are everything. We love you so much,” Kate wrote as she shared a batch of photos of her and Rio’s kids with the football legend.

Fellow former The Only Way Is Essex star Mark Wright also took to Instagram to share well wishes to his father, Mark Wright Sr.

“My best pal, my hero, MY DAD,” Mark, 32, wrote on Instagram alongside the photo.

“Happy fathers big man. Love you always,” he added.

Holly Willoughby took to social media to wish her own father a happy father’s day – before then wising her husband, Dan Baldwin, a happy day from herself and their three children.

“Happy fathers day to this sparkly eyed bundle of happiness… love you… always smiling, always laughing, always there… love this photo of us on my wedding day… overwhelmed by the emotion of it all and there you are,” Holly, 38, wrote alongside a photo of herself with her dad.

“And to this one… the best Dad we could wish for… we love you so so much… our [world],” she wrote as she shared a snap of her husband and children.

Then, perhaps in a desperate attempt at damage control, Holly also wished her This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield, 57, a happy father’s day too.

“Talking of important men in my life on Fathers Day. Here’s another one. My partner on the telly and one of my best friends in the world… love you @schof,” she wrote as she shared a throwback photo of herself and Phil winning a TV award.

The declaration of support to Phil comes amid reports and growing speculation that she and Phil absolutely hate each other behind the scenes of This Morning – with Phil rumoured to be jealous of Holly’s growing popularity that threatens to eclipse his own star power.

The Sun suggests Phil had his nose put out of joint when Holly featured as a co-host on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here last year as she filled in for Ant McPartlin as he took time out of the spotlight following a drink-drive disgrace.

Holly and Phil are then said to have endured an epic argument following a photo shoot when Holly had a crown photoshopped onto her head – and Phil did not.

Holly also proved earlier this year she is more than capable of hosting This Morning without Phil – when she successfully helmed the popular daytime TV show without him after he called in sick.

Elsewhere on Father’s Day, Simon Thomas gave a heartwarming post on Instagram featuring himself with his son.

The 46-year-old presenter was sadly widowed in 2017 when wife Gemma died after being diagnosed with leukemia.

“This photo of me and and the boy was taken on holiday seven years ago today. There was something poignant about it then – even more so now. To Father this boy is the greatest privilege I could ever ask for. #happyfathersday,” he wrote as he shared a snap of himself alongside his son.

Meanwhile Tom Fletcher, 33, of British band McFly revealed he had an eventful night ahead of father’s day.

“Thanks to our son peeing in our bed this was our sleeping arrangement last night… #fathersday,” the dad-of-two revealed on Instagram.

“P.S. @mrsgifletcher claimed the floor mattress before I could. Don’t be deceived, it’s really comfy…I should know, I slept on it for 12 weeks!” he added.

Amanda Holden also took to Instagram to share Father’s Day love to her husband, Chris Hughes.

“#HappyFathersDayto #MyLub our girls adore him .. I didn’t think I could love Chris more! But then we had children,” the 48-year-old wrote.

“He’s the funniest most loving Daddy and it’s a total joy watching them together,” she added.
