Hanoi willing to boost cooperation with Uruguay’s localities in numerous fields

Hanoi is committed to creating the best conditions to cooperate and exchange experiences in developing numerous fields with Uruguay’s localities, including IT technology, software development, culture, sports and urban construction, among others. Photo: Thuy Linh Chung wished that the ambassador will have a successful term of office, bring Vietnam-Uruguay relations to a new height, and connect Hanoi with other Uruguay’s localities. Briefing the guest on the capital city’s socio-economic development, Chung said that Hanoi’s GDP per capita is US$5,200/year with an average growth of about 7.3%/year. Currently, the city receives 26 million domestic and foreign tourists annually. Chung also affirmed that Hanoi attaches great importance to building a startup ecosystem and wants to invest in software for young people.
