Hanoi is committed to creating the best conditions to cooperate and exchange experiences in developing numerous fields with Uruguay’s localities, including IT technology, software development, culture, sports and urban construction, among others. Briefing the guest on the capital city’s socio-economic development, Chung said that Hanoi’s GDP per capita is US$5,200/year with an average growth of about 7.3%/year. Currently, the city receives 26 million domestic and foreign tourists annually.
