Some supporters of the QAnon conspiracy told CNN on Friday that they would welcome a military coup similar to recent events in Myanmar in order to put former President Donald Trump back in the White House. Speaking to CNN reporter Donie O'Sullivan at a QAnon-Trump rally in Ventura, Florida, two women expressed support for coup and specifically cited the Southeast Asian nation. Believers in the conspiracy theory posit that Trump will be restored to power on March 4, at which time the allegations of mass voter fraud and other irregularities in the 2020 election will be proven. "Are you feel going to foolish on March 5th when Biden is still president?" O'Sullivan asked one woman. "Umm, then Trump has a different plan in play," she said. CNN took issue with Attorney General William Barr’s use of the term “spying” during his testimony Wednesday, using social media to say that Barr provided no evidence to support his claim. Barr was asked by Democratic New Hampshire Sen. Jeanne Shaheen about his plans to review conduct related to the Trump investigation. “I think spying on a political campaign is a big deal,” Barr told the Senate Appropriations subcommittee. “I think spying did occur, yes. WASHINGTON: Federal prosecutors said on Thursday (Oct 15) they had charged Houston-based technology executive Robert Brockman with hiding US$2 billion in income from the IRS over 20 years, in the biggest tax fraud case against an individual in US history. At the same time, the US Attorney for the Northern District of California announced he had struck a non-prosecution agreement with Robert E. Smith, the billionaire chief executive of Vista Equity Partners, in exchange for his help in securing the charges against Brockman. At a press conference, US Attorney David L Anderson said Brockman used various offshore entities in Bermuda and Nevis to evade taxes. He said Brockman also bought and sold debt securities in his own company, "breaking a promise to investors that he would not buy or sell his own company's debt."
