DOLE plans job summit, online job fair on May 1
MANILA, Philippines – Filipinos who lose their jobs due to the coronavirus pandemic may now have an opportunity to find a new employment as the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) plans the national job summit on May 1. During the job summit, DOLE will bring together business groups, labor sectors and the government agencies to lay out an “employment recovery agenda,” DOLE Assistant Secretary Dominique Tutay said during the Laging Handa briefing. The state government had released over 50,000 vacancies for Anganwadi workers. Gavin Newsom is letting more businesses reopen as coronavirus cases decline, the California Legislature on Thursday passed a bill requiring some hotels and other hospitality companies to offer laid-off workers their jobs back. Apple today sent out media invites for its annual iPhone-centric event that will be held on Tuesday, September 10 at 10:00 a.m. at the Steve Jobs Theater at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California. The media invites offer up a first look at the theme of the event and feature the tagline "By innovation only." Apple is expected to continue to offer three iPhones, two OLED models in 5.8 and 6.5 inches and one LCD model that's 6.1 inches, but all three will see camera improvements.
