That means hundreds of thousands of families across England are anxiously waiting to hear whether their child has been offered their first choice of primary school. Official data shows that 90.2% of pupils last year were offered their first choice of primary school, which was down slightly from 90.6% in 2019. Hopefully the majority of families will this year find out that their children have been accepted by their Primary school of choice. Royal Mail postman caught ‘calling house a “f***ing s***hole”‘ as he delivered letters

A ROYAL Mail postman was busted appearing to call a house a f***ing s***hole" as he delivered his letters. Annette Barrett, 40, caught the stand-in postie on her door-cam footage as she tried to track down a missing parcel. But instead, the homeowner from Walsall, West Mids., appeared to be met with fierce critique. In the clip, the Royal Mail worker can be seen ringing Annette's doorbell while looking through a pile of letters in his hand. He appears lost in thought as he says out loud: "What a f***ing s***hole". Annette, who works for Jaguar Land Rover and prides herself on keeping her home tidy, couldn't believe what she was hearing. "I was shocked," she told The Sun Online. "I'd understand if it looked a s***hole but I pride myself on keeping a nice house - the back garden is beautiful." Line of Duty hit with hundreds of complaints after Ted Hastings calls Down’s Syndrome character an ‘oddball’

LINE of Duty has received hundreds of complaints after a character with Down's Syndrome was labelled "the local oddball" in an episode. As the show aired on World Down Syndrome Day , character Terry Boyle, who had been accused of murdering fictional journalist Gail Vella, was hit with the derogatory term. Viewers were left outraged when Terry, who is played by Tommy Jessop - an actor with Down's Syndrome - was referred to as an "oddball". More than 300 of people have since contacted the BBC to voice that they were "unhappy" with the choice of words used to describe Terry. According to the Mail Online , 323 complaints were submitted to the broadcaster about the line from the first episode of the sixth series. GEMMA Collins has turned over a new leaf after almost losing her dad to Covid-19, revealing she has overhauled her lifestyle and is exercising daily in a bid to boost her health. Both Gemma’s parents - Joan and Alan, 74 - contracted the coronavirus, but it was the star’s dad who was left fighting for his life in intensive care. She says: “It was traumatising. I was heartbroken. I’ve never been scared of anything in my life.
