REUTERS: Canadian Lance Stroll deserves his place alongside Sebastian Vettel at Aston Martin next season irrespective of his father Lawrence owning the Formula One team, principal Otmar Szafnauer said on Friday. Racing Point, who become Aston Martin F1 next year, announced on Thursday that four times world champion Vettel will join from Ferrari in 2021, taking the place of Mexican Sergio Perez alongside Stroll. Szafnauer told reporters ahead of the Tuscan Grand Prix at Italy's Mugello circuit that dropping the Canadian was never an option. "Lance has been with us for a couple of years, he’s a young man at 21 years old and, yes, his father does own the team," he said. REUTERS: Racing Point's Sergio Perez will have a one-place grid drop for Sunday's Tuscan Grand Prix at Mugello as a result of a collision with Alfa Romeo's Kimi Raikkonen in Friday practice. The Mexican sent Raikkonen into the gravel after the contact in the day's second session, bringing out red flags due to debris on the track at the Italian circuit which is hosting a grand prix for the first time. Stewards ruled the Mexican, who had been leaving the pits, was wholly to blame but reduced the penalty from the usual three positions. Perez had argued that the Mugello pit lane was long and he had already reached a high speed by the time of the incident and had been unable to take a different approach. SINGAPORE: Three locations at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) have been added to the list of public places visited by COVID-19 cases in the community during their infectious period, said the Ministry of Health on Tuesday (Sep 8). Two of the NTU locations are eateries at the university's North Spine Plaza - the food court there and Paik's Bibim. The third location is also a food establishment, Quad Cafe at the NTU School of Biological Sciences. Other places in Tuesday's list include Apgujeong Hair Studio at JEM and Vision Exchange at 2 Venture Drive. The shopping centres are VivoCity, Lucky Plaza, AMK Hub, Mustafa Centre, E!Hub @ Downtown East, Paya Lebar Square and Wheelock Place. The ICA Building and Gardens By The Bay were also on the list.
