NIKKI Grahame had a touching final moment with her Big Brother ex Pete Bennett just weeks before her tragic death. Nikki died on Friday at the age of 38 after a long battle with anorexia and Pete had made sure to visit his former girlfriend during her final fight. He shared a photo of the pair warmly embracing last month, as Nikki leant on him lovingly and Pete beamed towards the camera. The Big Brother winner captioned the post: "Pete and Nikki March 2021 ♡ visiting my nikki and still cuddling to this day :). "Remember the fundraiser to help get her into a specialist anorexia clinic is in my bio! #savenikkig." The pair got together on the show back in 2006, which also propelled them both to fame. They had a brief romance during the show and Nikki was famed about her diary room rants about newcomer Susie Verrico where she repeatedly said: “Who is she?" Pete ended their relationship after a month but they remained on good terms, with Nikki saying on Loose Women: … [Read more...] about Nikki Grahame’s ex Pete Bennett visited the Big Brother star in her final weeks and they were ‘still cuddling’

‘It’s pretty special’: A snapshot of how four Illini walk-ons celebrated their scholarships
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — In his last few years at Wisconsin, Bret Bielema asked himself why he was being selfish. Why was he taking a moment that should be shared under a spotlight and confining it to his office? The moment a walk-on is awarded a scholarship is worth celebrating in front of everyone. Heck, Bielema had been there. After a while, Bielema quit announcing these scholarships in his office and moved them to meetings with the entire team. On Tuesday inside the Henry Dale and Betty Smith Football Center, he awarded four walk-on Illinois football players with scholarships for at least the spring semester, the first he’s awarded as Illinois’ head coach. Christian Bobak , Tailon Leitzsey, Michael Marchese , and Alec McEachern each earned scholarships and swiftly mobbed by their teammates as Bielema found his way out of a scrum and to another meeting, his best laid plans to hug all four temporarily wiped away. He met with all four later in his office to share the … [Read more...] about ‘It’s pretty special’: A snapshot of how four Illini walk-ons celebrated their scholarships
The love story of the century (1)
Kindly Share This Story: By Obadiah Mailafia PRINCE Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh and husband to Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, passed away on Friday April 9, aged 99. He was barely two months away from his 100th birthday. He will be buried on Saturday April 17 at the cemetery at Windsor Castle after a family funeral service at St. George’s Chapel. In strict adherence to his wishes, it would be a low-key family affair. It is the end of an era. For more than 70 years, the duke faithfully served as royal consort; putting duty before everything else; a loving husband and a doting father to his children. While she reigned as monarch, he held sway as head of the tribe; keeping “The Firm” in steady-state in good times and in bad. It has been said that a few bloodlines rule the world. His spiderweb of kinship linked him with nearly all the monarchies of Europe: from the Hohenzollerns and Hapsburgs to the Romanovs and Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. He and … [Read more...] about The love story of the century (1)
