Edward Snowden expressed his support for a German investigation into NSA surveillance in a letter delivered the German government on Friday. Outraged by recent allegations that the NSA might have tapped Chancellor Angela Merkel's phone, German lawmakers are considering a closer examination of the NSA's practices and have proposed inviting Snowden to testify. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said that "more truth" about Governor Andrew Cuomo will soon come out and reveal a "pattern of abuse" as the governor faces criticism for two sexual harassment allegations as well as the continuing controversy over coronavirus deaths in nursing homes. "I think more and more people are going to be talking about what they've experienced," de Blasio said during a Monday morning news briefing. "And I think as people see more and more evidence, it's going to be clear this is not the way any leader should treat anybody." SELMA, Alabama: Pete Buttigieg dropped out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination on Sunday (Mar 1), saying he no longer saw a chance of winning, the day after fellow moderate Joe Biden won a big victory in South Carolina.
