Liuzhou Wuling Automobile Industry Co will produce 7,200 electric minivans for Japanese delivery firm Sagawa Express, which will mark the largest foray of Chinese EV carmakers into Japan. Wuling, located in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, is preparing itself for the model's mass production, which is expected to kick off in September 2022, said a representative at the carmaker on Thursday. The electric model, co-developed by Sagawa Express and Japanese electric car startup ASF, was released on Tuesday in Japan. Among other things, the van has a wide driver seat and trunk space design that allows drivers to easily store goods and gadgets. It can drive for more than 200 kilometers on one charge. A heavy downpour battered Ho Chi Minh City early on Friday morning and submerged many parts of the metropolis. A thundercloud had caused torrential rain in the southern provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Ba Ria-Vung Tau on Thursday night and early Friday morning before moving to Ho Chi Minh City, the southern hydro-meteorological station reported. Torrential rain enkindles long traffic delays in Ho Chi Minh City during rush hour
Traffic in Ho Chi Minh City was heavily congested on Thursday evening after a downpour hit it during the peak hour. As witnessed by correspondents of Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper at around 6:15 pm, a huge volume of traffic was clogged along the section from Nguyen Van Troi Strreet to Cong Ly Bridge in Phu Nhuan District. Gridlock was also seen on the route from Tan Son Nhat International Airport to the Hoang Van Thu – Cong Hoa Junction in Tan Binh District, with the queue of delayed traffic to stretch as far as one kilometer. On Cong Hoa Street’s section heading to the An Suong Junction in District 12, commuters turned exhausted as they had to slog through traffic jams on both ways of the road. Marine protected areas are aimed to shield threatened marine ecosystems and undersea resources from intrusive human activity. Vietnam has set up marine protected areas as part of its efforts to sustainably develop fisheries resources and improve fishing traditions to protect aquatic environment in the country with more than 3,600 kilometers of coastline. Vietnam is rich in marine resources The ratio of marine protected areas (MPAs), which are essential for safeguarding biodiversity and the health of marine ecosystems, is around 0.185%, compared to 0.24% of the country’s sea given in the government’s Resolution 742/QĐ-TTg dated in 2010.
