The VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange lost 1.33% today, February 24 – PHOTO: THANH HOA HCMC - The VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange lost 1.33%, or 15.63 points, on Wednesday to end at 1,162.01 points in a session that a system error clogged the at-the-close phase. The market barely fluctuated in the morning. Early in the afternoon, the VN-Index suddenly lost over 23 points to below 1,155 points. The strong cash flow then helped the benchmark index recover. However, a technical error occurred, clogging trade after 2 p.m. The southern market saw losing stocks far outnumber winners by 357 to 93. There were 603 million shares worth over VND15 trillion changing hands, falling slightly in volume and 2.6% in value against the session earlier. Large-cap stocks to boost Vietnam’s stock market by year-end

The Hanoitimes - Investment funds unexpectedly divested capital from Vietnam’s stock market in October. However, the local securities market is still expected to rally in November and the last quarter, driven by strong growth of large-cap stocks. According to Saigon Securities Inc (SSI), Vietnam’s stock market performed well in October with the support of the information it could become the market with the highest proportion in the MSCI Frontier Market 100 Index, up from current 12.53% to 28.76%. Nine community cases reported in Hải Dương

Hải Dương Province started to conduct large-scale testing for the novel coronavirus, using realtime-PCR technology from Wednesday. — VNA/VNS Photo HÀ NỘI — Nine community cases of COVID-19 were reported on Wednesday evening, all in the northern province of Hải Dương. Six cases are in Kim Liên Commune, Kim Thành District which is under lockdown. Two are in Cẩm Giàng District and were previously quarantined. One case in Thanh Hà District was detected through mass screening. All of the new patients are being treated at the second field hospital of the province. An additional 30 COVID-19 patients were given the all-clear on Wednesday evening, raising the total recoveries to 1,790. The death toll remains at 35. There have been 1,504 community infections so far, of which 820 have been reported since January 27.
