YouTube will lift ban on Donald Trump channel when risk of violence decreases -CEO

Alphabet Inc's YouTube will lift its suspension on former U.S. President Donald Trump 's channel when it determines the risk of real-world violence has decreased, the company's CEO , Susan Wojcicki, said. YouTube suspended Trump's channel for violating policies against inciting violence after the assault on the U.S. Capitol by the former president's supporters in January. "The channel remains suspended due to the risk of incitement to violence," said Wojcicki, speaking in an interview with the head of the Atlantic Council think tank. She said recent warnings by the Capitol police about a potential new attack on Thursday showed that an "elevated violence risk still remains." Follow Gadgets Now on Facebook and Twitter . Donald Trump’s YouTube Channel Will Remain Suspended Over Risk of Violence, CEO Says

YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki said Thursday that former President Donald Trump 's channel will remain suspended on the platform due to the potential risk for violence. Speaking during an event with the Atlantic Council, Wojcicki said Trump's channel would remain banned until the risk for violence has decreased, but added that it is unclear when that could occur. "I do want to confirm that we will lift the suspension of the channel…when we determine that the risk of violence has decreased," Wojcicki said. "Where we stand today it's hard for me to say when that's going to be, but it's pretty clear that right now where we stand that there still is that elevated risk of violence." "Given just the warnings given by the Capitol police yesterday about a potential attack today, I think it's pretty clear that elevated violence risk still remains," Wojcicki added, in reference to fears of a March 4 Capitol attack by followers of the far-right conspiracy theory, QAnon. Mo Brooks (R-AL) accusing them of inciting the storming of the U.S. Capitol on January 6. In a statement, Swalwell said he filed the civil claim against them for "inciting an attack against the Capitol that terrorized lawmakers and prevented us from doing our jobs of certifying the votes of the American people." Donald Trump Rebukes WSJ After Editorial Board Suggests the GOP Look Past His Presidency

Donald Trump has hit back at The Wall Street Journal after the newspaper published a recent editorial questioning the former president's usefulness to the Republican Party after its losses in the 2020 election cycle. " The Wall Street Journal editorial page continues, knowingly, to fight for globalist policies such as bad trade deals, open borders, and endless wars that favor other countries and sell out our great American workers, and they fight for RINOS [Republicans in name only] that have so badly hurt the Republican Party," Trump said Thursday. He added: "That's where they are and that's where they will always be. Fortunately, nobody cares much about The Wall Street Journal editorial anymore. They have lost great credibility." The statement comes days after the editorial board noted that during the four years Trump was in power, Republicans on Capitol Hill lost control of the White House, the House of Representatives and the Senate . "Mr. Trump had one … [Read more...] about Donald Trump Rebukes WSJ After Editorial Board Suggests the GOP Look Past His Presidency

QAnon Already Turning Back on March 4 Theory as Day of Donald Trump Prophecy Arrives

Now that the eagerly anticipated date of March 4 has arrived, some of most influential figures in the QAnon conspiracy movement have turned their back on its significance, declaring the day they believed Donald Trump would be inaugurated as a "false flag" operation created by the media, antifa and Black Lives Matter . For several weeks, QAnon followers have touted March 4 as the next momentous day in their calendar following on from the failure of January 20 , when the conspiracy theorists thought that Trump would fulfill the prophecy known as "the storm" and order the mass arrest and execution of a cabal of satanic pedophiles at Joe Biden 's inauguration ceremony. After the prediction failed in the most public way , QAnon supporters changed their beliefs once again and declared that Trump was meant to lose the election, not carry out the "storm," and instead triumphantly return on March 4. The desperate claims stem from another conspiracy, lifted from the sovereign … [Read more...] about QAnon Already Turning Back on March 4 Theory as Day of Donald Trump Prophecy Arrives
